About the Project
Save the Earth with ARTS – is an Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in school education that brings environmental education to students with special educational needs through creativity, digital tools and inclusion.
The project aims to promote environmental awareness and climate action among students with special educational needs (SEN), their families, and educators.
Through a range of training activities, workshops, and collaborative events, participants will deepen their understanding of climate change and sustainable living.
The project will support teachers in developing and applying innovative, creative, and digital approaches to environmental education, while fostering greater inclusion and participation of SEN students.
By creating new teaching methods and increasing the use of digital educational resources, the project seeks to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.
At the same time, it will encourage environmentally responsible behaviors among participants, contributing to a significant reduction in their carbon footprint and promoting long-term sustainable habits.
Our objectives
- Raise awareness. Help SEN students, their families and teachers understand climate change and sustainable living through accessible, hands-on activities.
- Empower teachers. Train educators to design and apply creative, digital and inclusive approaches to environmental education.
- Include every learner. Increase the participation of students with special educational needs in school and community climate action.
- Create new resources. Develop teaching methods and digital educational materials that partner schools – and others – can reuse.
- Change behaviour. Encourage environmentally responsible habits that reduce participants’ carbon footprint in the long term.
Who we are
The partnership brings together six organisations from Romania, North Macedonia, Poland, Croatia, Estonia and Türkiye: inclusive and special-education schools, an adult education centre, an educational technology company and a culture, arts and sports association. The project is coordinated by Centrul Școlar pentru Educație Incluzivă „Maria Montessori” in Constanța, Romania.
