Autumn Eco-Action

Autumn has finally arrived, bringing with it the traditional time for a cleanup, just as it does every year! Driven by a desire to continue giving back to the local community and support them, our team visited our partner and neighbor, OURC “ D-r Zlatan Sremec”, to carry out an autumn cleanup.

We believe that change begins locally and consider collaborations within local communities to be crucial. Let’s put all our hands together and preserve the cleanliness of our environment.

Project mobility in Kuşadası, Türkiye

During the third and fourth days of the mobility, participants took part in practical outdoor and sports-based activities that promoted teamwork, environmental awareness, and healthy lifestyles. They used the sports equipment created from recycled materials in cooperative games, demonstrating how sustainability can be successfully integrated into physical education. The programme also included a cultural visit to the ancient city of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, providing participants with the opportunity to explore Türkiye’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

On the fourth day, participants travelled to the Dilek Peninsula National Park, where they joined trekking activities in the forest and cooperative sports activities in a natural environment. These activities highlighted the importance of outdoor learning, experiential education, and environmental protection. The mobility concluded with an official farewell dinner, during which Europass Mobility and participation certificates were awarded, celebrating the successful completion of the programme and strengthening international cooperation among the project partners.

Outdoor Learning and Experiential Learning sessions

During the first two days of the mobility in Türkiye, participants visited a special education school and learned about the Turkish education system. They also took part in training sessions on Outdoor Learning and Experiential Learning, focusing on practical and active learning methods. The second day continued with recycling workshops for sport equipment, where participants created and explored ways to use recycled materials in educational and sports activities. The activities promoted creativity, teamwork, environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The day also included a coordinator meeting about project organization and e-journal studies, followed by evaluation sessions.

Eco-Action with Volunteers Centre Skopje

In a joint action, volunteers from Volunteers Centre Skopje and our students cleaned up the school yard, contributing to a more beautiful and healthier environment. Through this activity we promote awareness of ecology, the importance of greenery, and caring for the space we use every day.

We appeal to all neighbours to help maintain the yard and keep it clean and tidy.

Earth Day: creative and educational activities in Skopje

Today we marked Earth Day with a series of creative and educational activities!

Our students actively participated in:

planting plants and caring for nature;
creating collages from recycled materials;
sorting waste through play and learning;
music and sensory activities with natural elements.

Through play, exploration and teamwork, the children learned how important it is to protect our planet and care for the environment.

Great ecological action on the occasion of Earth Day

Dear students and parents,

On the occasion of celebrating Earth Day, our school is organising a campaign to clean the school environment and plant flowers. We invite you to join this laudable initiative to make our school a nicer and healthier place to be.

The action will take place on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, according to the following schedule:

Gathering times

12:20 – 13:05 – students of the morning shift: 1.C, 2.D, 2.E and educational groups
13:10 – 13:55 – students of the morning shift: 1.A, 1.F, 1.G, 1.K, 1.L
14:00 – 14:45 – students of the afternoon shift: 1.D, 1.E, 1.H, 2.C

Request for students and parents. In order to further decorate our flower beds, we ask students to bring flower seedlings to school on the day of the action. Choose plants that are resilient and that will adorn our yard during the upcoming warm days.

Note. Dress appropriately for outdoor work. The school will provide gloves and waste bags, and your good will and the flower you bring will make a difference!

Earth Day celebrated with creativity at „Maria Montessori”

Students of the Inclusive Education Center „Maria Montessori” enthusiastically celebrated Earth Day through a series of engaging and creative activities from the Erasmus+ project SAVE the Earth with ARTS. The activities were designed to raise environmental awareness while encouraging artistic expression and teamwork.

The students participated in planting activities, learning about the importance of green spaces and caring for nature. They also created posters and awareness campaigns highlighting environmental protection messages, using colours and symbols to express their ideas. Additionally, they designed and built models and crafts, demonstrating creativity and imagination.

A special focus was placed on sustainability, as students created various objects from recyclable materials, transforming waste into meaningful and artistic items. Through these hands-on experiences, students not only developed practical skills but also deepened their understanding of environmental responsibility.

Measuring our environmental behaviour

Students from the „Maria Montessori” Inclusive Education School Center, Constanța, Romania, participated in an activity focused on assessing and measuring their environmental behaviour.

The activity was carried out through online questionnaires created using Google Forms, which allowed students to reflect on their daily habits, attitudes and actions related to environmental protection. This activity took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ project no. 2025-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000354913, entitled “SAVE the Earth With Arts”.

By completing the questionnaires, students actively engaged in evaluating their level of environmental awareness and responsibility, while also developing digital skills and critical thinking.

The results of this pre-test will be compared with a post-test at the end of the project to measure how the STEWA activities changed the students’ environmental behaviour.
